Lab Account Information and Rules

  • Obtaining a lab account allows the user access to the computer labs in Moore Hall 3120 and GSE&IS 118.
  • An account username and password are provided for access. Users are responsible for all activity which occurs on a computer logged into with their username.
  • The account for use of the computer labs in Moore Hall and GSE&IS building is free to GSE&IS students. Students outside GSE&IS, taking one or more GSE&IS courses, may obtain an account on a per-quarter basis. Under special circumstances, others may obtain accounts for $150.00 per year, payable at the beginning of the school year. Summer quarter is included in the annual fee.
  • Laser printing is available in the lab; Printing is limited to the account holder's own work ONLY. Every quarter, each account is credited with 500 printer credits (500 pages). Account holders may purchase additional credits at a rate of $15 per 500 credits.
  • The lab account is valid for the owner ONLY. Do not give your account information to anyone. Doing so may result in a loss of lab priveleges.
  • NO smoking, food, or drink is allowed in the labs. Violations of this policy may result in loss of lab privileges.
  • GSE&IS teaching assistants may take students into the labs for consultation, but only students with their own valid accounts may remain in the lab to do their own work.
  • Copying software is illegal. Doing so may result in a loss of lab priveleges.
  • Children are not allowed in the computer lab.
