Using the Dock The Dock appears at the bottom of your screen (although you can change its position). Use it to open applications, documents, folders and to see which applications are currently running (a small triangle appears below open applications). It comes with icons for some applications and you can add others by simply dragging an icon to it. |
Separator Line: You'll notice a thin separator line on the Dock. Applications appear to the left of that line -- documents and folders appear to the right of the line.

Moving the Dock: The Dock can be located on the left, right or bottom of your screen. You can change its position by selecting Dock from the Apple Menu, and choosing its position.
|
Tips/info: Click an application icon to launch it. An application loaded into memory will have a small triangle under its icon. You can reveal a menu for an open application by control-clicking on the icon in the dock. Eject a CD or floppy disk by dragging it to the trash icon on the Dock. |
